Hi, I'm Maxime ! (aka ImaCrea)

I'm a telecom engineer with a twist. I started building websites at 12 years old, when I discovered that the Internet was my true first love. Since then, I have never stopped being passionate about crafting web products that deliver positive and empowering experiences.

Over the last few years, I've built the biggest Facebook community for music fans in France, ‘JNPPVSM,’ which accommodates more than 1.6 million people.
I slowly monetized it and then sold it. Today, I act as an advisor to the new owners on human resource issues, community management and content strategies.

I've also created the first music-dating website, ‘T'écoutes Quoi', which helps people connect through music. This site has helped my own friends find love, and some have even gotten married. It has been valuated at €1M pre-money by ‘Elaia,’ a leading French VC.

My current side project, ‘MailTape’, is a weekly music newsletter wherein I curate playlists in collaboration with some of the most inspiring bands of our time, including Nicolas Jaar, Rone and Valentin Stip. It's supported thanks to donations.

 

► My focus is on undertaking challenges that I have the ability and vision to see through and that I deeply care about. And to do that with a group of passionate and creative people is even more inspirational.

The first online meeting website matching people according to their music tastes.

 

✔ UX/UI: Designed the complete UX using Omnigraffle and directed the designer for UI and brand.

✔ Leaded a team of 4 great collaborators to make it real. We used Basecamp and Pivotallabs.

✔ Defined the vision and business model, prepared P&L, pitched VCs. Company valuated 1M€ pre-money by Elaia.

✔ Copy-wrote PR and co-directed our launch video acclaimed by Vimeo Staff.

✔ Analysed datas and analytics using GA and Kissmetrics.

✘ Negotiating a term sheet when you don't have alternative offers and a short cash runway is (very) dangerous. This is what I learned the hard way when the deal got canceled although I had the term-sheet in my hands. Application accepted for Le Camping but declined it and decided to move to Berlin to burn less money and find investors. Time too short to convince VCs, then no money, although we had a fresh product with thousands active users, finally decided to stop this project.

 

Launched December 10th 2012 :
★ 3.000 active users and 100.000 messages exchanged between them after only 12 weeks.

★ Featured on : France 2,4,Ô, Radio Nova, ANousParis, ELLE.fr, FrenchWeb, Konbini, Giiks, BlogoErgoSum, PresseCitron and many others...

★ Some friends of mine met on it and got married :)

✔ Built a 1.6 million fans community with 0€ budget. Defined content strategy and created engaging content during 4 years.

✔ Founded the advertising agency Creadity and set creative campaign on FB for many clients including SFR, Spotify, Atomic Floyd, Jabra, Cinq7, Solidays, Parrot...

✔ Sold the brand to a major advertising agency.

✔ Recruited new head of community and mentoring the strategy to ensure development and monetisation growth.
